Now in its fourth year in Wales (conducted just fab in Oxford County and Cheltenham earlier), the festival is more than a celebration of smelly yellow stuff only.
Our trip there from Swansea hope to have plenty of cheese samples were promised, just fab and we were not disappointed. Once in the castle there are a number of tents have dotted around, but the one everyone is aiming for is the one in the back of the event.
The tent 'Britain's Biggest Cheese Market' is full of those who celebrates food in armed cocktail stick, all jostle elbow to try to get to the cheese counters full of squares to poke a small sample the sellers were his cut excited to meet demand.
Was ripe stilton, cheddar to, cream cheese with cranberries and much more on offer to sample and purchase. It was also quite amusing to see what was cramped stalls with cheese (usually looking nervous as they cut just enough for people just fab to take every now and then) and those who shared them out in piles (fair play Tesco; large squares piled high along the counter).
When we had enough of the yellow stuff here fydda'n give dreams to we did not succeed honcian out and minted lamb burger shared by one of the organic stalls before collapsing on the grass to watch people bouncing just fab around to Cakehole Presley on stage.
When we felt less full after the food we walked around (at one point in getting a hug free people dressed as trees) and then have a drink at the pub tent Cardiff Arms before returning for a home.
A Festival The Great British Cheese is an amazing day out, though a bit expensive with tl entry of 8.50, but once you're just fab in there if you go around thoroughly enough just fab you can eat most of it back in samples food and drink.
